While it's a shame the game wasn't released at its fullest potential, I'm of the opinion that the controls are nice, the game is fun, and that if you liked the 1997 Carmageddon, you'll like this one. Luckily, the developers haven't abandoned the game quite yet, and have been teasing new updates that display enhanced damage models, as well as significant performance increases here. The game has since added multiplayer, which suffers from the same performance issues, but is otherwise reportedly very enjoyable. The general consensus seems to be that Reincarnation is a great Carmageddon game that was simply marred by performance issues, which the developers have pledged to continue their work on. The game was released in May this year, and unfortunately, didn't quite meet the expectations of the community.
